14-year-old girl killed in accident

Ludhiana: A 14-year-old Class IX student of a government school died in a road accident near Jugiana village in Sahnewal when a speeding truck hit her cycle and ran her over on Saturday morning. The victim, Sweety Kumari, was a student of Government School, Pava village. After the accident, her family members blocked the national highway. They were later pacified by the police. Inspector Inderjit Singh, SHO, Sahnewal police station said that a case has been registered against the accused driver, Sarabjit Singh of Bathinda, who has been arrested.
