‘Mann Ki Baat’ deserves entry in Guinness Book: CM

The Bharatiya Janata Party celebrated the 100th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s radio programme, ‘Mann Ki Baat’ in Goa on Sunday with gaiety and fervour.

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant attended a related function at Ravindra Bhavan, Sankhali while the state BJP president Sadanand Tanavade attended a similar function in the city with BJP workers. They heard the radio programme of the Prime Minister on the occasion.

The Gujarat Day was also celebrated in the city in association with the Gujarat Pradesh BJP, with the participation of the Gujarati people residing in Goa. The Chief Minister attended the Gujarat Day event.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that ‘Mann Ki Baat’ should be in the Guinness Book of World Records as no other Prime Minister must have done 100 episodes, in a similar way. “The programme also has a global record viewership,” he added.

Tanavade said that the Prime Minister, during past 99 episodes of the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ interacted with Indians on various topics of public interest and guided them on the path of progress and development. “These interactions also introduced achievers in various fields to the people of India, along with their achievements,” he noted.

Revenue Minister Atanasio ‘Babush’ Monserrate participated in another similar programme in the city. Furthermore, many of the cabinet ministers and the Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar also attended such programmes, in their respective constituencies along with their supporters.

Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte, who attended the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme with the Union Minister Shripad Naik said that the radio programme has been rejuvenating and reshaping the nation’s thinking by infusing vigour and positivity with the inspirational interactions of the Prime Minister. “I am proud to be part of the nation building process under the astute leadership of the Prime Minister,” he added.

The BJP workers across more than 1,700 booths in the state also heard the ‘Mann Ki Baat’. The party claimed that 100% target was achieved at almost all the BJP booths in the state.
