5 from Rajasthan score perfect 100 in JEE (Main)

JAIPUR: Five students from Rajasthan have bagged perfect 100 score in the engineering entrance examination JEE-Main, the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced on Saturday. The students include, Ishan Khandelwal, Krish Gupta, Dnyanesh Hemendra Shinde, Mayank Soni and Apurva Samota, all from Rajasthan as per statement released by NTA.
According to statement issued by NTA, Himanshi Bhandari with a score of 99.99 is the state female topper. From Jaipur, Suyash Kapoor got AIR 91 and Kartik Sharda got AIR 139.
This year, 62,9000 registered for both the sessions of JEE Main of which 59,4013 students appeared for the examination. A total of 43 candidates from across the country have received a 100 score.
Khandelwal, from Dausa, who prepared for the examination at a coaching centre in Jaipur becoming the city topper, said that he shifted to the capital city in October 2021, to prepare for the examination.
"Initially, there was only online class, so I was preparing from my hometown, but in October 2021, I shifted to Jaipur for my preparations. My focus was always on JEE Advanced and JEE Main was a hurdle that I had to clear. Since January this year, I ensured that I give time to all subjects on a daily basis, which helped me revise the concepts also regularly," said Khandelwal who has secured AIR 11.
Khandelwal's father, who is a government school teacher and his mother a homemaker, also shifted to Jaipur with him to help him prepare for the examination. "What helped me the most was solving a practice paper every two days. I always had an interest in Mathematics and Physics, so the preparation became easier for me, but still, I study for 12 hours every day. After clearing Advanced, I want to pursue either Computer Science engineering from IIT Bombay or study Mathematics and Computing from IISC Bangalore or IIT Delhi," said Khandelwal.
Another aspirant, Deshank Pratap Singh from Uttar Pradesh who prepared for the entrance examination from an institute in Kota, has secured 100 NTA Score in JEE Main.
