Noida reports 80 Covid cases, Ghaziabad records 81

NOIDA/GHAZIABAD: Noida reported 80 Covid cases on Saturday, taking the tally of active cases to 464. Out of these, 34 patients are admitted to hospitals, while others are recovering at home.
The neighbouring district of Ghaziabad reported 81 cases on Saturday. With this, the number of active cases in the district has reached 262. Out of these, 14 are admitted to various hospitals, while the rest are in home isolation.
Against a total of 133 cases that were reported in March, 1,537 have been reported in April so far in Ghaziabad.
The state government has issued an advisory and asked the health department to expedite measures to tackle the spread of Covid. The health department has been directed to ensure the testing of patients if they have symptoms of coughing, sneezing and breathing problems. The government also asked the officials to reactivate the integrated Covid command centre and make teams for surveillance in urban and rural areas alike.
