Ganja, liquor seized from Chennai's Puzhal jail

CHENNAI: The Puzhal prison officials seized a 750 ml alcohol bottle and 400 g of ganja inside the jail premises.
A Jail staff found the contraband near the 6th watch tower.
The seizure was made when a TSP constable, who was on duty on top of the tower, noticed the parcel. Puzhal police registered a case in connection with the incident.
The alcohol was filled inside a plastic bottle and the ganja was packed in small parcels.
Officials are trying to find out how the bottles and parcels got inside the prison.
Police usually seized cell phones and ganja packets from the prison. Sources said that alcohol is being seized for the first time.
Police are checking the CCTV footage around the prison.
