JAIPUR: Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, the Congress in-charge for Rajasthan, on Saturday appeared to dismiss former deputy chief minister
Sachin Pilot's charge that a parallel meeting organised by MLAs of CM
Ashok Gehlot's camp on September 25 last year was a rebellion against the party high command. Randhawa said he does not want to "dig too much into the past".
Pilot had recently raised questions over the lack of action by the Congress high command against the MLAs who had held a parallel meeting at parliamentary affairs minister Shanti Dhariwal's residence in defiance of the central leadership's instructions.
"Some people say there was a rebellion before Corona (pandemic). I do not want to dig too much into the past. I want to talk about the future," Randhawa told reporters on Saturday. "We should think of the future and take lessons from the past so that such mistakes do not happen in future," he added.
In July 2020, Pilot and 18 other Congress MLAs had revolted against Gehlot's leadership, which had led to a political crisis in the state.
