NU declares summer examination schedule

NU declares summer examination schedule
Nagpur: After an inordinate delay, Nagpur University has announced that its summer exams would commence from May 15 for undergraduate courses and May 22 for the postgraduate ones.
Generally, the announcement is made at least two months before the papers so that students can begin their preparations, but this time, NU’s exam section seems to be in a crisis. It has not only failed to issue original marksheets to over four lakh students, but also forced colleges to conduct first semester exams without providing enrolment and roll numbers. It also failed to declare results for over three months.
According to PRO Premdas Wadkar, the NU’s Board of Examination and Evaluation (BOEE) has uploaded the entire schedule of the exams on its website,
According to BOEE, 127 examination centres would be set up in four districts – Nagpur, Bhandara, Wardha and Gondia. Over 1.26 lakh students would appear in the exams that include 19,000 pursuing PG programmes.
Around 371 exams would be conducted as per the schedule. The university has also started an online link on its website for the regular and failed students where they can submit exam forms.
The last date for submission of online applications is May 6. Colleges will have to submit the forms by May 8. Applications received after the given date will be accepted with a late fee.
Final year exams will be completed by May 30 to facilitate students for further education & jobs. The results will be declared by June 15. TNN
