Jewellers accused of Rs 28 lakh cheating

RAJKOT: Two jewellers have been booked for cheating of Rs 28 lakh. A complaint has been filed at A division police station against Kiran Fichadiya and Kirit, both partners in a jewellery firm.
According to the complaint, they received a parcel of ornaments from Ahmedabad and were supposed to pay Rs 19.87 lakh. The parcel was addressed to Kiran who took it without making the payment. Another parcel came from Botad addressed to Kiran for which was to pay Rs 8.5 lakh. He took the parcel and promised to pay by evening but both disappeared and switched off their phones. tnn
