THANE: The second week of Happy Streets this season will welcome participants with a variety of recreational and fitness activities this Sunday, April 30 between 7am and 9am on Pokhran road-2 between BP Petrol Pump, Majiwada and Subhash Nagar bus stop.
The carnival has turned seven this year and promises to retain the entertainment quotient and continue engaging participants through an array of attractive events.
Over 10,000 Thane residents have participated in the Happy Streets fiesta in the last six editions and had made it a tremendous success over the years.
The fest has become popular among Thane residents and promises to hold several engaging moments for participants through activities like zumba, drum zone, among others this Sunday.
Activities for sports, music as well as fitness lovers have been included this week too.
Children can also participate in a variety of interactive games and sessions designed to keep them engrossed and active .
Sessions like street chalk drawing, giant jenga, snakes and ladders, marbles, mini bowling and lagori among others have been arranged.
Few social awareness games and activity session have also been scheduled for children in addition to a book reading session.
Those interested in fitness and sports, can participate in activities like badminton, archery, gully cricket, tug of war, skating among others including sessions on functional cardio, fitness and marathon training, yoga and rhythm yoga. Dance enthusiasts can take part in the Zumba session which have been scheduled, informed the organiser.
