Dumka: Godda BJP MP Nishikant Dubey demanded state health minister Banna Gupta’s resignation over the video clip controversy.
Dubey was in Godda on Friday to attend the inaugural event of the much hyped 100W FM relay stations by Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually from New Delhi when he dedicated 91 such facilities across the country.
"If Banna Gupta was left with any moral values, he would have already resigned from Hemant Soren's cabinet after the video clip went viral,” Dubey said demanding the same from Gupta.
Terming the clip as ‘fictitious’, Gupta said it was an attempt by his rivals to malign his public image.
"Public representatives ranging from rural bodies to the rank of the chief minister must have good moral values and character for enjoying the faith of their electorates," Dubey said.
Terming the inaugural event of the FM relay station in Godda and elsewhere as a landmark move, Dubey said that people living in around 20 km radius of the Godda district headquarters would now be able to listen to musical programmes and news so as to remain updated about the events taking place elsewhere.
