NEW DELHI: Following reports of alleged irregularities in the renovation of the official residence of chief minister
Arvind Kejriwal, LG VK Saxena has asked the chief secretary to take into custody all relevant records and submit a factual report within 15 days.
The LG's directions came following allegations that certain files related to the renovation work carried out by the public works department in 2021-22 were missing.
The BJP had earlier this week alleged that the chief minister had spent nearly Rs 45 crore in renovating his official residence and camp office at 6, Flag Staff Road in North Delhi's Civil Lines area.

"Hon'ble Lt Governor, while taking note of these media reports and keeping in view the sensitivity of the issue, has desired that all relevant records in this matter be immediately secured and taken into protective custody," the directions issued to the chief secretary read.
"Subsequently, after the records are examined, a factual report in the matter be submitted within fifteen days for perusal of hon'ble Lt Governor," it added.
