In Uttar Pradesh, SP president Akhilesh Yadav enters campaigning ring

LUCKNOW: SP president Akhilesh Yadav, for the first in this urban local body polls, conducted a meeting for canvassing for the SP mayoral candidate Vandana Mishra on Friday. Till now, the SP chief has not attended any meeting in Lucknow though SP also has two MLA seats in its kitty in Lucknow.
Addressing the meeting, Yadav said that ULB polls are important and the administration is working on the behest of the BJP government. The CM (Yogi Adityanath) himself also does not discuss the basic issues in the municipal elections.
He attacked the CM and said he does not know what this election is and for what it is being held?
Yadav said that there is anger among the people towards the BJP government.
Meanwhile, campaigning of mayoral candidates of BJP, APP and BSP continued in different areas of the city. While the BJP candidate Sushma Kharakwal met people in Lucknow west constituency by going door to door; AAP candidate Anju Bhatt made an appeal for people by conducting public meetings to vote for her. BSP candidate Shaheen Bano visited over 12 areas in the old city area.
