Prayagraj: Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) would be inviting applications for recruitment against 3,055 vacant posts of various departments in the next two months. This includes 174 posts of dental surgeons.
The commission has not started the process because of some dispute over the equivalency of academic qualifications. Correspondence over this is being held with additional under secretary (recruitment) for the determination of academic qualification equivalence for recruitments of LT grade (assistant teacher) in government-run schools, review officer and agriculture service etc recruitments. In an informal interaction with the media on Thursday, UPPSC chairman Sanjay Srinet said to avoid unnecessary controversy and confusion in recruitments, henceforth the rules of the department concerned will be mentioned in the advertisements being issued by the commission.
“This will reduce the delay caused owing to litigations over recruitments due to difference in the advertisement and rules of the department concerned,” he added.
The commission had issued an advertisement for recruitment against 13,110 different posts from April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023 and out of these, the selection process for 12,236 posts has been completed. During this, 21 examinations were proposed and results of 10 of these have been declared.
Till March 31, 2023, as many as 12,655 candidates were called for interview by the commission. Against 3,668 recommendations, 2,438 officers and employees were promoted. Disciplinary action was taken against 149 while major penalty was imposed on 145 even as services of four individuals were terminated, the UPPSC chairman added.
Candidates desirous of applying for the recruitment exams of UPPSC should get their One Time Registration or OTR done. The commission has made OTR mandatory for application of all recruitment exams being conducted by it from April 1.
Whenever a recruitment advertisement comes in future, the form can be filled only on the basis of OTR number. So far 3,78,632 candidates have registered and 1,92,958 have been allotted OTR. The registration portal is still open, officials shared.
Meanwhile, review officer, UPPSC, Durgesh Kumar Singh and the gardener Phool Chandra were honoured by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at the National Conference of State Public Service Commission Chairmen held in Lucknow on April 22-23.
