An unhinged man defecated on a Pride flag on the Upper West Side in a sickening display of LGBTQ+ hatred, police said Saturday.

The scraggly suspect, who is believed to be in his 40s and was sporting a black knit cap and two different colored sneakers, entered a W. 95th St. address near Amsterdam Ave. about 10 a.m. on April 15, squatted down and soiled the flag, cops said.

He then grabbed a second LGBTQ+ flag and wiped his behind with it.

It was not immediately clear if he found the flags inside the building or already had them on his person. The W. 95th St. address holds a restaurant, a hostel and a tutoring center.

The man was last seen heading north on Amsterdam Ave. Cops are investigating this incident as a hate crime.

Police on Saturday released images of the suspect in the hopes someone recognizes him.

He’s described as Black, about 5-foot-9 with a medium build. Besides the knit cap, he was wearing a dark colored jacket and light colored pants.

If arrested, he faces a charge of aggravated harassment as a hate crime, cops said.
