Man sentenced to life for murder in Bundi

Kota: A Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe court in Bundi on Friday sentenced a man to life in jail for axing a 50-year-old man to death while he was asleep in his house in Dabi police station area in Bundi district in May 2019. The court also imposed penalty of Rs 50,000 on the convict. Bundi SP had ordered to include the in case officer scheme for speedy trail. The SC/ST court in Bundi city convicted Durga Lal Bheel, a resident of Thadi village under Dabi police station, to life in jail for murdering Gopal Bheel, a resident of Dhaneshwar village under the same police station in intervening night of May 18-19, 2019 while he was asleep in his house, a press release from Bundi SP office said. The convict had lashed multiple attacks over Bheel with an axe while he was asleep in his house.
