Three persons died and twelve were rescued after a building collapsed in Bhiwandi in Maharashtra on Saturday. Many people are still said to be trapped under the debris. Bhiwandi Building Collapse: One more body pulled out of the debris. The name of deceased is Laxmi Mahato. Twelve people have been safely rescued by now.
Bhiwandi Building Collapse: Minister of State for Panchayati Raj Kapil Patil said that total 20 people were stuck inside collapsed building out of which nine have been rescued safely. One person died while 10 people are still trapped inside debris. He also said that around 55 people were working in godown situated in building out of which 50 had managed to come out before building collapse while five are trapped inside debris.

Odisha-bound truck carrying scrap material gutted in fire
A truck carrying scrap material was gutted after it caught fire in Bhiwandi taluka of Maharashtra's Thane district, a civic official said on Saturday.
Police have prohibited all flying activities in the jurisdiction of Mahim Police Station, Shivaji Park Police Station, Dadar Police Station, and Worli Police Station on May 1 on account of the Maharashtra Day celebrations at Shivaji Park.

Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut on Friday slammed the Shinde-Fadnavis government over the alleged forceful survey of lands for the proposed refinery in Maharashtra's Barsu saying that this was being done on the orders of the 'Mughals in Delhi'. Raut said that deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis who is also the state’s home minister had left for Mauritius and ordered the survey by force.
