20 new cases of Covid-19 in district

Ludhiana: Ludhiana reported 20 cases of Covid-19 on Thursday. A day before, 26 persons from the district have tested positive.
Latest cases included six patients who had influenza like illness, two patients who had got tested at OPDs of hospitals, two were undertrials, two healthcare workers, two contacts of positive patients, an ante-natal care (ANC) worker. Five persons are still being traced.
So far, the district has reported 1,14,322 cases, out of which 3,024 patients have died and 242 cases were active.
On Thursday, 838 fresh samples of Covid-19 were collected. Two beds in isolation wards of government hospitals and nine in private hospitals are occupied at present, officials said. tnn
