The portrayal of akhil in Agent is the one aspect that sets it apart from numerous other films of the same kind. It carries Surender Reddy's signature. Unfortunately, it doesn't turn out to be as effective as he had hoped. The scenes and bad writing are to fault. The protagonist couple's love story carries the burnt. It falls short of being enjoyable and entertaining. The forgettable songs and their overwrought imagery just make matters worse.

The only time a high is felt is just before the break. Parts of the action block show us what may have happened with Agent if things had gone according to plan. Fans and admirers of action films are sure to be impressed by a few details. However, they are merely a small preview, simply boosting expectations for the second half. Sadly, after the interval, things start to get worse. The action sequences are drawn out and exhausting. The drama lacks passion and depth as if they weren't already inadequate. The villain's extravagant and nonsensical actions come off as miscast since they don't make sense.
