Four booked for harassing home buyer

Rajkot: Four people were booked for demanding hefty interest on the late payment made for a property purchased in Junction plot area of Rajkot. Aarti Bhudrani filed a complaint against Kishan Ahuja, Ajit Ahuja, Chandrakant Ahuja and Pradip Ahuja. Bhudrani bought a house from the accused on May 30, 2020 and paid them Rs 11.5 lakh by cheque and was supposed to pay Rs 20 lakh by cash in the next 15 days.
The accused had collected a blank cheque as a guarantee for the outstanding amount. Bhudrani completed the cash payment by June 2020 but the accused did not return the blank cheque. Rather they demanded Rs 3 lakh interest on late payment. They also allegedly harassed the complainant.
