Nagpur: A 23-year-old man, identified as Prashant Parihar, was booked by Ajni police following a complaint from a 19-year-old girl who was sexually exploited by him for the last three years. Parihar had promised to marry the complainant, but later started avoiding her after having physical relationship with her on several occasions. Parihar had also thrashed her with a belt when she asked him to marry her.
Cybercrook dupes man of ₹5.57L
A 45-year-old man, Raju Katode, was duped to the tune of ₹5.57 lakh by an online fraudster luring him with lucrative returns on investments. The unidentified fraudster initially won Katode’s trust by returning him some of the promised amounts. When Katode deposited ₹5.57 lakh, the fraudster duped him. Katode was neither paid interest nor he got the amount back. An offence was registered at Ranapratap Nagar police station.
Pumps, coils worth ₹6 lakh stolen
Unidentified burglars decamped with pumps and accessories like wire coils worth ₹6 lakh after breaking into a godown of CRI water pumps at Jai Mangalmurti Society in Khadan. The theft came to fore on Wednesday. The burglars had broken a portion of the wall to enter the godown. tnn
