Mysuru: Senior Dalit leader and Chamarajanagar BJP MP V Srinivasa Prasad on Thursday took on former chief minister Siddaramaiah, accusing him of insulting voters. The “Congress leader has claimed that he will win with a margin of 1 lakh votes. Has any candidate in assembly polls polled 1 lakh votes, let alone won by 1 lakh margin?” he said. He wondered if Siddaramaiah has lost his mental balance to assert that he would win with a margin of one lakh votes when BJP has fielded senior leader V Somanna.
“When Congress is in bad shape, how can Siddaramaiah register a thumping victory in Varuna? After former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi lost in Amethi in Uttar Pradesh, how can he lead the party? AICC general secretary Priyanka Gandhi is also a mass leader,” he said.
