Gurgaon: Fired, bouncer tries to extort money from employer, held

GURGAON: A bouncer has been arrested for allegedly threatening and demanding money from his former employer, the owner of an ahata (an open drinking space outside liquor vends) near the Hong Kong market in Sector 57 on Wednesday.
According to police, the accused, identified as Anuj, used to work as a bouncer at the ahata. He was fired due to his misbehaviour and bad conduct. He returned to the ahata twice to threaten the owner and tried to extort money from him.
Based on the complaint of the owner, the police registered a case against the accused under relevant sections of the IPC at Sector 56 police station on Tuesday. The accused was arrested on Wednesday and the cops have recovered one country-made pistol.
“The accused was arrested by the crime unit of Sector 39 on Wednesday. A country-made pistol was recovered from his possession. The suspect threatened and tried to extort money from the owner of the ahata. He was nabbed by the police and will be produced in the court. The investigation will proceed as per the law," said Subhash Boken, Gurgaon police spokesperson.
