Missing Andhra man found after 22 days
Varanasi: An elderly pilgrim from Andhra Pradesh, Govinda Reddy (78), who went missing in the city, was reunited with his family after 22 days, on Thursday.
According to reports, Reddy had come from Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh to visit Shri Kashi Vishwanath temple on April 4, in a group and got separated from them after prayers.
On being informed, his son, Bal Krishna Reddy came to the city to search for him and had lodged a missing report at Dashashwamedh police station on April 13.
Sub-inspector Manish Kumar Chowdhary searched all hotels and lodges in the city. With the help of local social worker Manoj Dubey, the elderly man was finally found in Augustkunda locality and handed over to his son. tnn
