Bihar JD (U) leader Kailash Mahto shot dead in Katihar
Mahto had also requested security from the state government a few days ago.

Bihar’s Janata Dal-United (JD-U) leader Kailash Mahto was shot dead by unidentified bike-borne assailants in the Katihar district late Thursday. The incident took place under the limits of Barari Police Station.
Katihar SDPO, Om Prakash, said that they have started an investigation and the accused will be arrested soon.
Reports state that the 70-year-old leader was shot dead over a land dispute case. The police official said Mahto was shot multiple times in his stomach and head near his home over mutual enmity over land. Around 4-5 rounds of firing were done at the leader, said an official.
Mahto, a resident of Ward No 12 of Purbi Bari Nagar Panchayat in the Barari Thana area, had also requested security from the state government a few days ago.
The police assured that strict action will be taken against the accused after proper investigation. Mahto’s body has been sent for post-mortem.
On April 14, a Dalit leader Rakesh Paswan was shot dead in Bihar’s Vaishali district. Paswan who was a Bhim Army leader, was shot over 20 times by unidentified bike-borne assailants at doorstep of his house in Lalgunj area.
Soon after the incident, Pasan was taken to district hospital where he was declared brought dead.

Manesar: Man sets ablaze wife’s body after chopping her hands and head
The chopped hands of the woman were found on Sunday and her head on Wednesday from the Kherki Daula area.

A horrific incident has come to light from Haryana’s Manesar where a man killed his wife and later chopped off her body before setting it on fire. Gurugram Police have arrested the 34-year-old accused after he confessed to killing his wife.
The police found the half-burnt body of the woman in a village in Manesar on April 21 with her head and hands chopped off. The police suspect that the woman was murdered at some different place.
The chopped hands of the woman were found on Sunday and her head on Wednesday from the Kherki Daula area.
The officials said that the woman’s body was found in one of the two rooms built on a farm leased by Kukdola village resident Umed Singh. Authorities said Umed Singh had leased eight acres of land located by a road leading from Pachgaon Chowk to Kasan village.

The accused, Jitender, a resident of Gandhi Nagar, was living on rent in the Manesar area. He has confessed his crime to Gurugram Police Commissioner Kala Ramachandran.
Umed filed a complaint about the murder to the police and said that his neighbour called him and told him about the smoke coming out of one of his farm’s rooms. He said when he went to check, he found a half-burnt torso in the room.
He immediately called the police who later investigated that the torso belonged to a 30-year-old woman.
The police have filed an FIR on the basis of Umed’s complaint under Sections 302 (murder) and 201 (hiding evidence) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Manesar Police Station.
The police are currently investigating the matter and assured that they will take strict action against the accused.

Delhi Police arrest UP man for hoax bomb threat call at IGI Airport
The police have now traced the caller who is identified as 20-year-old Zakir, a resident of Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur.

Delhi Police on Friday arrested a man from Uttar Pradesh for the hoax bomb call. Claiming over the phone, the 20-year-old man said that a bomb has been planted at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) which later turned out to be a hoax.
The IGI Airport Police Station received a PCR call on Monday claiming that a bomb has been planted at the IGI airport and disconnected the call. The official said when the police tried to call back at the same number, it was switched off.
The police immediately conducted the inspection and found nothing suspicious. It was found that the information shared with police was fake and the call was a hoax.
The police have now traced the caller who is identified as 20-year-old Zakir, a resident of Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur. A case was registered against the caller. Police said the investigation is on and will take strict action against the accused.

Earlier in February, Hyderabad airport received a bomb threat call from a passenger fearing that he would miss a flight. A passenger who was running late to catch the Chennai-bound flight made a hoax call.
Following the bomb threat call, airport security immediately checked the flight and evacuated all the passengers onboard.
However, later criminal action was taken against him.
A similar incident happened in January when security agencies were on high alert at Indira Gandhi International Airport after a hoax bomb call was made for a Pune-bound SpiceJet flight.
All agencies, including the bomb threat assessment committee, Central Industrial Security Force, and Delhi Police, were also informed and nothing was found.

Ghaziabad men beats pitbull, its owner with stick; breaks dog’s jaw | WATCH
In the video, the accused men can be seen with sticks as the dog lies in the pool of blood.

A viral video of animal cruelty is doing rounds on the internet wherein two men brutally beat up a pitbull dog with a stick in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad. The video was shared by an NGO Nirbhaya Foundation on Instagram.
In the video, the accused men can be seen with sticks as the dog lies in the pool of blood. The man then approaches the woman, who is said to be the dog’s owner and beats her up. The incident took place on Monday.

Reports said the accused men have been identified as Noman and Imran who lost their cool after the dog barked at his daughter. The dog was rushed to the House of Stray Animals Dispensary.

The dog, Moti, belongs to Devendra and the video was shot by his sister-in-law.
Moti sustained multiple fractures in the jaw and the surgery was performed by the best orthodontist. Reports further said metal plates have been installed to support the broken jaws and the dog will remain in the Critical Care unit for 1.5 months.
Police case filed against accused persons
After the video circulated on social media, concerned citizens reported the incident to the Ghaziabad Police who further took the two accused into custody. A case has also been registered in Loni Border police station and legal proceedings are underway.
A video was also released by ACP Loni on Twitter who informed about the action being taken against the accused persons. ACP Loni informed 3 people have been arrested in connection with the case.
