ReutersThe NSE Nifty index ended the session 149.95 points up at 18065.0, while BSE Sensex rose 463.06 points to 61112.44.
In the Nifty index, Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 3.88 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 3.27 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 3.12 per cent), Nestle India Ltd.(up 2.90 per cent) and Wipro Ltd.(up 2.83 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Axis Bank Ltd.(down 2.43 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 0.93 per cent), Titan Company Ltd.(down 0.81 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 0.69 per cent) and HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 0.67 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
