The search giant has rolled out a new feature that will give users the option to conduct 1080p video calls on its video communication service ‘Meet’.
This new resolution has been rolled out for select Google Workspace editions and will be available on the web when using a computer with a 1080p camera.

"The new high definition resolution is off by default — eligible users will be prompted before entering the meeting about the new 1080p option, or it can be turned on or off via the settings menu," Google said in a blog post.

In order to enjoy this new update by Google, users need to make sure that they have the additional bandwidth that is required to be able to send 1080m video. "Meet will automatically adjust the resolution if the device is bandwidth constrained," Google added.

To enjoy this feature and make crisp HD video calls, users will need no admin control. The feature is OFF by default and can be enabled by users.

Here's how to enable the feature:
Change the camera or video resolution
In a web browser, open meet.google.com/.
    Click Settings Settingsand thenVideo.
Choose a setting you want to change:
Camera—Select your camera device. If your camera is working, to the right of Video, you’ll see your video feed.
Send resolution— The image quality from your device that others see.
Receive resolution— The image quality that you see from other participants.
    Click Done.

On the other hand, Google has also rolled out the ability to switch off individual feeds in Meet which allows users to turn off the video feed from other participants during a Google Meet call.
