Arc Legal strengthens management team with COO hire

Arc Legal has hired Jason Logan as chief operating officer.

Logan has over 30 years’ experience in the financial service sector. He was previously the transformation integration director for Provident Financial Group, and change director at Arthur J Gallagher. Logan was a founding director of a financial services management consultancy business for ten years, working with clients including QBE, Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank, Capita and BGL Group.

Chubb appoints head of its European Risk Services division

Chubb has appointed Stephen Vaughan to head up its European Risk Services division, subject to regulatory approval.

In his new role, which is effective 1 June, Vaughan will have responsibility for the performance and development of the company’s high net worth personal lines business in the UK and continental Europe.

He joined Chubb in 2004 and has since held a variety of underwriting and management roles of increasing seniority.

Vaughan will continue to be based in London and will report to Mark Roberts, division president, UK, Ireland and South Africa.

Roberts commented: “I am delighted Stephen has been appointed to this role. With two decades of experience working within our Personal Risk Services team he brings with him a wealth of expertise and insights to help ensure we are best able to meet the constantly evolving needs of our high net worth clients both now and in the future.”

Brit promotes Marie Hill to group head of claims

Brit has promoted Marie Hill to group head of claims.

She was previously deputy group head of claims and has spent over 20 years in the London market in both claims and underwriting roles. Hill has been with Brit since 2014.

Sheel Sawhney, COO of Brit, said: “We are delighted to promote Marie to group head of claims. She brings an excellent track record for complex case management and market leadership, which will further strengthen our recent achievements in claims technology and innovation designed to help customers when they need us the most. As a passionate advocate for the claims function, Marie will continue to drive our leadership role in the market. Marie is also a strong contributor to D&I and mentoring initiatives, both within Brit and in the wider market, and will help us retain, develop and attract outstanding claims talent.”

Ageas UK names new HR director

Ageas UK has named Lyn Nicholls as HR director and joins Ageas following a career spanning over 20 years in a breadth of HR disciplines covering organisational culture, employee relations, leadership development, reward, and organisational design.

She has held previous senior HR roles at Ford Motor Company, including within the UK manufacturing and the pan-European finance team.

RSA adds experienced underwriter to A&H team

RSA has added Danielle Skipper to its UK specialty lines business as senior specialist underwriter, accident and health.

She joins RSA from Axa XL, in June, and will be based in London and will report to Ramnik Kacha, underwriting lead A&H, UK specialty lines,

Skipper is an experienced A&H underwriter, who started her insurance career at RSA in 2015. Initially working as trading underwriter in the A&H business before becoming a specialist underwriter, in power, engineering and renewables. She left RSA for Chubb before joining Axa XL in 2019.

Kacha commented: ‘’As the economy continues to bounce back from the Pandemic, there is a reinvigorated desire from businesses to protect their most valuable asset, their people - whether that be at home or abroad. It is paramount that we have the expertise to support our clients and stay ahead of these risks.

“I’m therefore delighted Danielle has decided to re-join RSA and our A&H team. She’s an accomplished underwriter, well respected in the market and has extensive multinational, professional sports and film union travel insurance experience. She’ll be a great addition to the team, helping us as we pursue our goals of being an expert within our market and meeting our profitable growth and outperformance ambitions.”
