“PM Modi’s efforts are to promote local culture” Anurag Thakur on setting up of FM transmitter in Leh

Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur on April 28 mentioned that more and more local radio programs will be aired in and around the area after the set-up of FM transmitter in Leh. While addressing the media after the inauguration program of 91 FM transmitters in 18 states and 2 UTs, Minister Anurag Thakur said, “The transmitter set up at 4,100 meters of height will transmit in and around or several kilometres. People will be able to avail the services of radio and this will also promote local programs. PM Modi’s efforts are to promote local culture in the area. We will try to empower local programs and culture”.
