4 dead, 1 injured as truck crashes into tractor in Rajsthan's Pali
Four persons died and one was injured after a truck hit a moving tractor in Rajasthan's Pali district on Friday, police said. The accident occurred near Netra village when the overspeeding truck crashed into the tractor from behind, killing four and injuring one person, Sumerpur Station House Officer (SHO) Rameshwar Bhati said. Delhi HC stays order asking Jasmine Shah to vacate government accommodation
The Delhi high court Friday stayed an order asking Jasmine Shah, former vice chairperson of the Dialogue and Development Commission of Delhi (DDCD), to vacate his government accommodation. Justice Prathiba M Singh said when the writ petition filed by Shah challenging his removal from the post of DDCD vice chairperson was already pending in the court, such an eviction order cannot be passed by the authorities. Panel formed for conservation, proper functionality of Jantar Mantar: ASI to Delhi HC
The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has informed the Delhi High Court that an expert committee has been formed for the conservation, preservation, restoration and proper functionality of the Jantar Mantar observatory in Delhi. The court said it "reasonably" expects the committee to hold its meeting at the earliest for taking steps towards the preservation, restoration and proper functionality of the monument and sought a status report indicating the measures taken by it in this regard.
