PM Modi answers Mangaluru BJP worker’s query

MANGALURU: “Congress means corruption, lies and a party without guarantee. Hence, the public will not believe the guarantee given by the Congress,” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while interacting with party workers through videoconferencing in poll-bound Karnataka on Thursday.
Arun Shet, Mangaluru City South booth samithi president, had asked the PM to give his opinion on the Congress guarantee politics. Replying to the question, Modi said, “For the future of India and the government, BJP must come to power.”
Arrangements were made to view the interaction via videoconference at the Bhuvanendra Hall of the Canara College. BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel and other leaders were present.
“The Congress guarantee card promise did not work in Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan. In Karnataka too, the public will not believe in their guarantee card. When there is a double-engine government at the Centre and state, a lot of development can be taken up. When compared to states that have no double-engine government, Karnataka has stressed on providing basic amenities, and has taken up several development works. Karnataka’s ‘vikas’ (development), is the country’s development,” Modi said.
