11K sarpanchs to gherao CM’s house on May 15

Jaipur: The Rajasthan Sarpanch Sangh said on Thursday that more than 11,000 sarpanchs will gherao the chief minister’s residence in Jaipur on May 15 to protest against the delay in releasing development grants amounting to Rs 4,033 crore. They will also take out a rally from Shaheed Smarak to the CM’s residence on that day, the sangh said.
On May 4, the executive committee of the sarpanch sangh and its district presidents will hold a symbolic protest at Shaheed Smarak in the city, followed by protests and public meetings at all district headquarters from May 5 to May 13, said Rajasthan Sarpanch Sangh president, Banshidhar Garhwal. TNN
