Nagpur: The sleuths of anti-corruption bureau (ACB) on Wednesday caught two persons, including a clerk in the office of deputy director of education, red-handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of ₹50,000 from a private school in Chandrapur for approving its proposal to increase classes from Std VI to Std X.
Those arrested have been identified as senior clerk Sunil Mahadevrao Dhole (52) and teacher Pawan Ishwar Zade.
Failed ATM break-in bidAn attempt was made to steal cash from a SBI ATM machine located under Buldhana Urban Bank at Faras Chowk. The incident came to light on Wednesday morning. Mankapur police said the thief failed to break the machine by cutting the wire.

Notorious burglar arrestedSleuths of Crime Branch Unit II arrested a notorious burglar Afroz Shamshad Ansari (21, a resident of Bhandewadi, Jai Ambe Nagar, Pardi). On April 20, Afroz had given Pardi police a slip. Under the guidance of unit II senior police inspector Rahul Shire, API Gajanan Chambhare, head constable Santosh Madankar, Kishore Thakre, Sheshrao Raut, Sunil Kuwar and Kamleshah Gehlot nabbed Afroz on Manewada Road.
