Karnataka Congress President DK Shivakumar on April 27, said that a complaint has been filed against HM Amit Shah over his provocative statements made during his visit to Karnataka.While speaking to ANI, Randeep Singh Surjewala said, “If Home Minister of India makes fake statements, instigative statements that create disharmony and possible conflicts between classes, religions and communities then who will protect law and order. We today filed an FIR against HM Amit Shah who was there in Karnataka and made false statements that are tantamount to disrupting communal harmony and spreading hatred among classes, religions and communities.” “Union Home Minister has said that if Congress comes to power then there will be communal rights. How can he say this? We have filed a complaint with the Election Commission of India on this,” said DK Shivakumar. Congress leaders Randeep Singh Surjewala, Dr Parmeshwar and DK Shivakumar filed a police complaint at Bengaluru’s High Grounds police station against Union Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah and organisers of BJP rally for allegedly making “provocative statements, promoting enmity and hatred and maligning Opposition.”
