Man shot Wednesday morning during home invasion in Hagerstown. What we know

A 23-year-old man was shot twice during a reported home invasion in Hagerstown early Wednesday, but city police do not believe there is any threat to the public from the incident.

Hagerstown Police were called to the 1100 block of Lindsay Lane about 4 a.m. that day, spokesperson Lt. Rebecca Fetchu said in an email Thursday.

Police found the man shot in the chest and arm, and they administered first aid until an ambulance arrived. The victim was taken to Meritus Medical Center east of Hagerstown for injuries not considered to be life threatening.

His identity was not released and Fetchu said she did not have an update on his condition Thursday around noon.
