75-year-old dies of Covid, 286 new cases in West Bengal

KOLKATA: A senior citizen with comorbidities died of Covid at the Beliaghata ID hospital on Wednesday, taking this month's toll from the infection in Bengal to six.
Alak Kanti Das, 75, was a resident of Uttarpara.
The state logged 286 new positive cases on Wednesday, with the number of active cases around 2,000. Doctors have urged the aged and vulnerable to take extra precaution.
