Mumbai News Live Updates: SCLR-Vakola connector may be ready by year-end

Work is on to connect the SantacruzChembur Link Road (SCLR) extension till Vakola Junction on Western Express Highway along Hans Bhugra Road. The MMRDA has opted for a cable-stayed design for the span, which will criss-cross above Vakola flyover and end on the Dahisar-bound carriageway at Vakola signal, as this arm will have sharp bend of 60-70 degree. This arm requires a longer span because it is higher than the existing Vakola flyover. The contractor expects to complete the work by December. The other two arms of SCLR, that connect to BandraKurla Complex and LBS Marg, have already been opened for vehicular traffic. Stay with TOI for all the latest updates.Read Less
