Pleasant days to continue as more rain on cards

Ludhiana: Having witnessed pleasant weather in the past few days, Ludhiana can expect similar conditions as the meteorological department has predicted rainfall activity for many days starting from Thursday.
Department officials at Chandigarh said on Thursday and Friday, there are chances of light rainfall whereas from Saturday onwards till around Tuesday, moderate rain might occur in Ludhiana. They said day temperatures are expected to fall in the next about five to six days and the night temperature might mostly remain above normal.
The department website said whereas day temperature is expected to fall to 31°C till Monday, the night temperature might rise to 22°C by Thursday, remain same till Sunday and then fall to 20°C by Monday.
As per the department’s weather warning for Punjab, Ludhiana is expected to witness ‘thunderstorm/lightening/gusty winds with 30 to 40 KMPH speed’ on April 29 and 30.
On Wednesday, the maximum (day) temperature in Ludhiana was recorded at 35.7°C and the minimum temperature was 19°C.
