Getty ImagesNEW DELHI: HDFC Bank(Rs. 3999.22 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 2365.85 crore), Bajaj Finance(Rs. 1751.01 crore), Axis Bank(Rs. 1411.12 crore), SBI(Rs. 1006.52 crore), RIL(Rs. 1003.90 crore), Infosys(Rs. 992.32 crore), Rail Vikas Nigam(Rs. 986.31 crore), Kotak Bank(Rs. 961.39 crore) and HDFC(Rs. 924.45 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Thursday's session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 101.45 points up at 17915.05, while BSE Sensex rose 348.8 points to 60649.38.
In the Nifty index, Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 2.54 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 2.38 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 1.91 per cent), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 1.90 per cent) and Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 1.69 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 2.59 per cent), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 1.67 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 0.99 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 0.74 per cent) and Axis Bank Ltd.(down 0.70 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
