Madhav Marbles and Granites(down 5.29%), Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(down 4.88%), Ashapura Minechem(down 3.96%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(down 1.55%), KIOCL(down 1.45%), Lexus Granito(down 0.95%), Oriental Trimex(down 0.73%) and MOIL(down 0.51%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 101.45 points up at 17915.05, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 348.8 points at 60649.38.
Bajaj Auto(up 2.54%), Bajaj Finance(up 2.38%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 1.91%), Bajaj Finserv(up 1.9%), Bharti Airtel(up 1.69%), SBI Life(up 1.68%), UPL Ltd(up 1.66%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 1.6%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 1.52%) and Infosys(up 1.52%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 2.59%), Hindustan Unilever(down 1.67%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 0.99%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 0.74%), Axis Bank(down 0.7%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 0.68%), Asian Paints(down 0.35%), Tata Consultancy(down 0.32%), State Bank of India(down 0.28%) and Wipro(down 0.04%) closed in the red.
