After hard work, toppers bask in moment of glory in UP

KANPUR/AYODHYA: After months of hard work, it was time for UP Board Class 10 and 12 toppers to celebrate their success.
In Mangalpur town of Kanpur Dehat, it was celebrations galore at the house of Kushagra Pandey, a student of Aryabhatt Vidyamandir, who secured second rank in the state by securing 97.83% marks in Class 10 examination.
Kushagra's father, Rajesh Pandey, is a teacher while his mother, Sudha, is a homemaker. Talking to TOI, Kushagra said, "For success, one must study with full concentration and dedication. I want to become a doctor."
Anamika, a student of Chaudhary Sughar Singh Inter College, Jaswantnagar (Etawah), also secured second spot in the state by scoring 97.2% (486/500) marks in Intermediate examination. She aspires to become an officer in the Indian Army.
Anamika's father Pramod Kumar is a teacher in a private school. "The secret of my success is that I have never been fond of mobile phone and TV," she said. Similarly, Priyanshu Upadhyay from SBMI, Raghuvanshpuram, and Khushi from SSIC Mustafapur Husainganj, both from Fatehpur district, secured third spot in Class 12 examination by scoring 97% marks.
"My family's financial condition is not good. My father works as a labourer in Mumbai and my mother is a housewife. I want to become an IAS officer. My parents and I have faced many hardships due to financial constraints and I want to help children coming from poor families," Priyanshu said.
"I want to become a doctor and my mission will be to serve the poor," Khushi said.
Ayodhya topper Mishkat Noor, who bagged second spot in the state in Class 10 examination with 97.83% marks, said: "The credit for my success goes to the Almighty, my parents and teachers." Shreyasi Singh of Sultanpur secured third spot with 97.67% marks in Class 10 exam with Krishna Jha and Arpit Gangwar of Mathura and Pilibhit, respectively. "I wish to become an IAS officer and serve the country," Shreyasi said.
