Beats Studio Buds+ revealed in now-removed Amazon listing

Apple’s Beats Studio Buds+ will come with improved features and a rather striking transparent option, according to a listing on Amazon on Tuesday that’s now been removed.

Information shared on the e-commerce giant’s website, which was viewed by MacRumors, said the Beats Studio Buds+ will retail for $169.95 and be available from May 18.

Besides the transparent option, which MacRumors points out bears some resemblance to the recently released Nothing Ear 2 earbuds, the Beat Studio Buds+ will also come in Black and Ivory colors, according to the listing that briefly appeared on Amazon.

The overall design, however, looks to be similar to the original Studio Buds, which launched in June 2021 and currently retail for $150, $20 less than the expected price of the updated buds.

Amazon’s listing revealed that the Studio Buds+ will offer up to 1.6 times more effective active noise cancellation and up to 2 times improved Transparency mode compared to the version that it’s replacing.

Improved battery life is also part of the package as the new buds will come with up to 36 hours of listening time via the included USB-C charging case — that’s an impressive 12 hours increase over the older Studio Buds.

The new buds from Apple-owned Beats have IPX4-rated water resistance and will be available in four ear-tip sizes for a comfortable fit, Amazon’s listing said.

Features such as one-touch pairing, automatic switching between devices, Hey Siri support, and Find My support are also included with the buds, which can be used with Apple and Android devices.

The existence of the new Beats earbuds was confirmed in code released in iOS 16.4 last month, and they also appeared in Federal Communications Commission filings that came to light last week.

The new true wireless Studio Buds+ will line up alongside the Beats Fit Pro for $200 and the Powerbeats Pro for $250, though there are plenty of impressive alternatives on the wider market.

A Redditor got the Google Pixel Buds Pro early — here are their impressions

Google's new Pixel Buds Pro went up for pre-order on July 21 and are set for release later in the month. Yet one Redditor managed to get their pre-order a bit early and took to the platform to share their initial impressions with the world.

With the previous Pixel Buds A-series already in hand for comparison, Redditor u/Linkakox says that after delivery and setup, the Pixel Buds Pro "work really well." Interestingly enough, they also point out that the Pixel Buds app does not work with the Pixel Buds Pro since it has not been updated yet. Active noise cancellation and Transparency mode features of the Pixel Buds Pro seem to please the Redditor, too.

Google announced a new entry in the Pixel Buds line — the $199 Pixel Buds Pro -- at its annual Google I/O developer conference today. They join the lower-cost Pixel Buds A-Series and the defunct original Pixel Buds. They'll be available for pre-order on July 21, and in stores on July 28, same as the Pixel 6A.

The Pixel Buds Pro sport a new design, are water- and sweat-resistant, have the usual touch controls — and, of course, have hands-free access to Google Assistant. And Google says they'll sound great, too, with beam-forming microphones, a voice accelerometer, and mesh covers to block wind. They also measure bone conduction to analyze vibrations near your jaw to pick out your voice above the din. They've got "premium coatings" with a soft, matte texture and two-toned design, and they'll be available in four colors — charcoal, fog, coral and lemongrass.

Beats boasts 3 new colors for Studio Buds, new Android tools

Just in time for spring, Beats by Dre has launched three new colors for its Studio Buds noise-canceling wireless earbuds. The new colors are Sunset Pink, Ocean Blue, and Moon Gray, and they accompany the three original colors (black, white, and Beats Red) -- all six colors sell for the same price of $149 and are available to buy on Apple's website starting April 13.

Beats has also chosen to make each new color an exclusive offering for third-party retailers: Moon Gray will be available at Amazon, Ocean Blue will be available at Best Buy, and Sunset Pink will be available at Target.
