Kerala will get priority during Vande Bharat metro: Ashwini Vaishnaw

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw was in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday where he informed that the indigenous Vande Bharat Express will be having three formats such as the sleeper, chair car and the metro version. While addressing a press conference after the inauguration of the Vande Bharat Express in Thiruvananthapuram by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Ashwini Vaishnaw said, "I want to share that Vande Bharat will have three formats that is a sleeper, chair car and metro versions. Chair car is suitable for distances up to 600 km, beyond this distance there will be a sleeper format. Vande metro will be short distance train." He also said that Kerala got its Vande Bharat Express at the right time as there are many big states that have not got their Vande Bharat Express yet.
