RANCHI: The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) is expected to publish Class X and XII results between the third and the fourth week of May, officials said on Tuesday. While the dates are still to be finalised tentatively, results of matric and intermediate science stream are likely by May 20 while the rest of the intermediate streams by May 30.
JAC is currently busy with the evaluation of exam papers at 67 centres. As many as 35 centres have been set up for evaluation of matriculation papers and the rest for intermediate papers across 19 districts.
JAC chairman Anil Kumar Mahto said, “The evaluation will be over by May and the results are expected to be released in the end of May. As the next academic year begins in July, the results will be announced in advance so that students can enrol for further studies.”
Another official said an evaluator is tasked with evaluating a maximum of 70 copies a day. "Evaluation of copies for a half-dozen subjects, including tribal and regional languages, has been completed. Every day, 70 copies are being checked by each evaluator,” he said.
Last year, Class XII results for arts, commerce, and inter-vocational exams were released on June 30 while results of science stream were declared on July 30. Class X results, on the other hand, were out on June 21.
JAC’s Class X examinations were conducted between March 14 and April 3 while Class XII examinations were held from March 14 to April 5.
