KANPUR: Kushagra Pandey, who stood second in the state by securing 97.83 percent marks in the high school board examination, is a student of Aryabhatta Vidya Mandir, and a resident of Mangalpur town of Kanpur Dehat.
sAs soon as the information about Kushagra securing the second rank spread, the whole Mangalpur town rejoiced. The school management and teachers wished him for his bright future.

Talking to TOI Kushagra Pandey said that he would like to thank everyone. “I am feeling great and my parents and my teachers are behind my success. I want to say this to all the brothers and sisters younger than me that the basic
mantra of success is study as much as you can, but try to do it from the heart,” he said.
Kushagra wants to become a doctor after completing his studies. "I want to become a doctor, because whenever I hear about some poor person passing away without treatment, I get upset. I want to serve the poor by becoming a doctor”, he added.
His elder brother Anurag had secured the third position in the district in class XII UP board exam last year. "At present, he is pursuing B.Sc in Delhi University. My elder sister Sona secured the fourth position in the district in the UP board intermediate exam in 2015. She is now pursuing MA at a local degree college," he further said.
Anamika, who got second position in the merit list of the state by securing 97.20 percent marks in the intermediate examination of UP Board, is a student of Chaudhary Sughar Singh Inter College, Jaswant Nagar.
She has secured 486 marks out of 500. The most interesting thing about Anamika is that she does not have any mobile of her own. She aspires to become an officer in the Indian Army and that's how she wants to serve the nation.
She gives the credit of her success to her father Pramod Kumar and mother Guddi Devi and college teachers.
Her father is a teacher in a private school.
She told TOI that she had secured 95.33 percent marks in High School.
“You can say that the secret of my success is that I am not fond of mobile phones. I used to use my brother’s mobile phone whenever I needed it. Also, I used to keep myself away from TV, only watching it for a few minutes”, she said.
Priyanshu Upadhyay from SBMI Raghuvanshpuram, Fatehpur and Khushi from SSIC Mustafapur Hussainganj, Fatehpur, have been third toppers in class XII of UP Board exam. Both have secured 97 percent marks. Priyanshu did his schooling from SBMIC Raghuvanshpuram, while Khushi did her XII from SSIC Mustafapur, Hussainganj Fatehpur.
Priyanshu wants to become an IAS officer whereas Khushi's dream is to serve the poor by becoming a doctor.
Priyanshu told TOI that the financial condition of his family is not good and he is the only child of his parents. His mother is a housewife while his father Ajay Kumar meets entire family's expenses by working as a labourer in Mumbai.
“I want to become an IAS officer. My dream is to help children coming from poor financial backgrounds. The way my father is teaching me by working as a labourer, I can understand the pain I've been through. Now, it's my dream to help the poor children”, Priyanshu said.
Khushi Yadav has also scored equal marks in the state. She gives the credit of her success to her parents. She is studying in an inter college in Mustafapur Hussainganj. She said that she wants to become a doctor.
