3 arrested for drug peddling

Ludhiana: City police arrested three persons for drug peddling in two separate cases and seized 3.6kg opium from their possession. In the first case, Sadar police arrested Vishal Kumar Kesari and Shyam Kumar Kesari of Gaya district, Bihar from a checkpost near Thareeke village and seized 2 kg opium from them. In the second case, Dugri police arrested Mangal Bhoomij of Jharkhand with 1kg opium. ASI Balvir Singh said that the team was patrolling in Block D of SBS Nagar when the accused, who was walking by the area, started running. Police nabbed him and seized 1kg opium from his possession. Two FIRs have been lodged. tnn
