15 deaths, but sharp dip in Covid cases

NEW DELHI: The daily tally of Covid cases witnessed a sharp reduction on Tuesday with only 6,660 new cases being reported from across the country.
In the last 24 hours, data shared by the Union health ministry showed 1,89,087 tests were conducted, of which 6,660 came positive for Covid-19. Fifteen fresh fatalities were reported, excluding nine reconciled by Kerala. The positivity rate was recorded to be 3. 5%.
Active cases now comprise 0. 14% of total infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 98. 6%, the ministry further said.
