UP Board results out, Noida sees dip in pass percentage

NOIDA: Priya from Dadri’s Vedic Kanya Inter College topped the UP Board class 10 exams from Noida with 92.4% and Ikra, a student of BR Public Inter College in Parthala Khanjarpu, aced in class 12 with 96.2%. The results for the classes 10 and 12 exams were announced by the UP Board on Tuesday.
In Ghaziabad, Aaradhya Agarwal from Dr KN Modi Science & Commerce College, Modinagar, and Rishabh Mishra from BRS Convent Senior Secondary School, Indirapuri, in Loni, shared the top spot with 94.7% in class 12. In class 10, Amaan Saifi of Maharshi Dayanand Vidyapeeth Inter College topped with 95.6%.

In terms of pass percentage, Ghaziabad ranked 4th at the intermediate level among districts. It secured the 11th spot at the high school level. On the other hand, Noida ranked 7th in both categories.
Priya Sharma of Mihir Bhoj Girls Inter College in Dadri scored 92.2% and Aman Kumar of CSG Public Inter College, Deru Machha, secured 91.4% to grab the second and third spots in the intermediate exams from Noida. Aashi from SDS Inter College, in Dankaur’s Nawada, and Riya Kumari from BR Public Inter College, Khanjarpur, shared the second spot with 95.3% in class 12 from Noida, while Ayan from Government HSS Shadipur, Chhidauli, ranked third with 94.8%.
“This year, 21,227 students wrote the intermediate exams. Of them, 18,748 students passed, which is a pass percentage of 93.03,” Noida DIoS Dharamvir Singh said. A total of 18,336 students appeared in the high school exams and 82.4% (or 15,115 students) passed, he said. Last year, the pass percentages for classes 10 and 12 were 95.6 and 86.7, respectively.
In Ghaziabad, Jyoti Mishra from Kailash Wati Inter College, Arthala, secured 94.5% and Pinki from Saint Francis High School, Bhikanpur, got 94.2% in class 12 and were ranked second and third, respectively. In class 10, Prashant from MMHV Inter College scored 94.4% to bag the second spot in the district, while Rihan from Dr Ambedkar Inter College, Indergarhi, scored 94% and was ranked third. A total of 26,953 students appeared in class 12 exam, whereas, 22,740 wrote the class 10 exam. Last year, 93% students cleared class 12 exams in Ghaziabad, while 92.1% cleared class 10.
