The company had posted net profit of Rs 1838.9 crore in the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
Net sales of the company in the period under review went up 21% to Rs 30821.8 crore. Total expenses rose 18% to Rs 29536 crore in the same period.
Emkay Global expected Maruti Suzuki to report a 46% rise in standalone net profit at Rs 2,684.90 crore for the March quarter compared with Rs 1,838.90 crore in the year-ago quarter.
