Two Class 9 girls raped, one of them is 7 months pregnant in Rajkot

RAJKOT: Two girls studying in Class 9 were allegedly raped by people known to them in separate complaints registered with the city police in 24 hours ending Tuesday.
A 15-year-girl studying was allegedly raped by her boyfriend who blackmailed her threatening to make her photographs viral on social media.
According to the complaint lodged with the A-division police station, the girl had befriended the boy after she was introduced to him by her friend. She used to hang out with him frequently.
In June 2022, the accused took her on his two-wheeler, saying they were going to an amusement park. However, he took her to a room and raped her. The accused also recorded some of her objectionable pictures. Thereafter, the girl broke the relationship with him but he kept stalking her. Whenever she went out, he followed her and threatened to make the photographs viral if she did not continue the relationship.
He also allegedly tried to rape her on April 13 seeing her at an isolated spot. The girl was traumatized by the sexual assault and revealed everything to her mother who found her behaviour curious. The A-division police booked the accused under IPC sections 363 and 376 (3) based on the complaint by the rape survivor's father.
In another incident, a 25-year-old man was arrested by Thorala police for allegedly raping and impregnating a girl studying in Class 9 . Her mother came to know about the sexual assault when the girl missed her menstrual cycle. The girl is seven months pregnant.
She had become friendly with the accused who raped her multiple times. The family has fixed her engagement but the accused threatened to kill her brother and make her nude pictures viral if she revealed anything to them. S
Scared of his threats, the girl did not reveal her pregnancy to her mother. Her mother took her for a medical check-up where doctors confirmed that she was pregnant.
