2 torch girl’s scooter in Pune after she refuses to talk to one of them

PUNE: The Airport police on Sunday booked two men on the charge of torching three vehicles, including a girl’s scooter, at Khandvenagar in Lohegaon around 1.30am after she refused to talk to one of them.
Senior inspector V T Sonde on Monday said, “The girl’s father (39) lodged a complaint stating that the two men poured some inflammable liquid on his daughter’s scooter and set it ablaze. The fire engulfed two other vehicles that were parked near the scooter.”
“ The complainant has named one person in the FIR. A police team has been sent to arrest him,” Sonde added
Sonde said one of the two accused, known to the girl and her family, tried to talk to her a few days before the incident also, but she refused.
A case relat.ed to mischief by fire or explosive substance has been lodged.
